Great Green Wall

Great Green WallThe Great Green Wall initiative is a ambitious and innovative environmental project aimed at combating desertification, climate change, and biodiversity loss in Africa. The project involves the creation of a massive forested belt spanning across the Sahel region from Senegal in the west to Djibouti in the east, covering over 8,000 kilometers. During this webinar we will discuss about this project, its potentials and its implications, together with relevant representatives from countries involved in the project.

CAISL Success Stories

Check out the dedicated Website for CAISL (Climate Action for Improved and Sustainable Livelihoods). Apio ComfortApio Comfort a 22year old youth from Acwera Forest Village, Olago Parish Padwot sub county is proud to show off her rocket Lorena energy saving stove that she constructed for herself after being trained by JEEP. After using the stove for a month, Apio says she hasn’t registered any challenges using the stove as yet.

CAISLThis month, JEEP’s Climate Action for Improved and Sustainable Livelihoods (CAISL) resumed as planned. JEEP field officers successfully conducted TOT’s in construction of energy-saving stoves, training a total of 110 beneficiaries (58W, 52M).

It saw the first-ever installation of energy-efficient LED-lights, which have been tinkered on for some time now, as well as the venturing out into the new realm of health.
