Introduction and Access to Clean Energy Technologies to Reduce Women's Burden in Cooking
Overview
The project concetrated on training participants in the construction and use of Rocket Lorena stoves and improved charcoal stoves,providing an efficient and environtally friendly alternative to traditional cooking methods

Training Report
- Training Focus:
Participants were trainined in the constructoin and use of:
- Rocket Lorena Stoves: Two stoves were constructed in selected homes, including the household of Bakuta Harriet (Contact: 0758289321).
- Improved charcoal stoves: Seven stoves were built and distributed among community members.
- Participant Engagement:
The training saw active involvement from community members, who committed to constructing an additional 25 Rocket Lorena stoves as part of a cash-for-work program. This pledge underscores the community's enthusiasm and readiness to adopt clean energy technologies.

Both trainers are experts from Joint Energy and Environment Projects(JEEP) and played a pivotal role in ensuring hands-on learning for all participants.

- Environmental Conservation: By promoting fuel-efficient stoves, the project contributes to reduced deforestation and lower carbon emissions.

Future Plans
Continuous follow-ups and support will be provided to the participants to ensure the successful construction of the pledged stoves. Furthur efforts will also focus on scaling up the adoption of clean energy technologies in other areas of Mpumudde Nakawuka.
