Monthly Newsletter August 2022

JEEP strives to stop environmental destruction and promote efficient management of natural resources. The newsletter gives a monthly overview of our activities towards this mission. It provides small updates about project activities and gives insights about the events at our Folkecenter itself in the hope that the curious reader finds information worth knowing. As part of a consultancy with the Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung (HRNS) staff and in line with other projects, JEEP trained local community persons in Luwero in the construction of energy saving stoves.

This Month at JEEP – 07.2022

This July was another month fully packed of field work. Our Energy Officer went to Zombo once more to check up on the energy hubs (small shops designed to sell energy-related products, with a focus on renewable energy, and efficient use of energy.

This Month at JEEP – 06.2022

July 1, 2022

The wheel of time turns, and newsletters come with it. Today, another newsletter detailing another month full of action arrives. Beginning the month with a trip to Zombo, we (Sylivia, Dianah, Brian and Winnie) trained people in financial literacy as part of the Environmental Education Project (ECO-PESA). These groups will later be responsible for the successful running of 4 energy hubs. They will provide environment-friendly innovative technologies to the local population.
