
JEEP at Kulturmodet Cultural Meeting Mors, Denmark - August 21 - 23 2025


The Cultural Meeting also known as Kulturmodet Mors is Denmark's national meeting place for art and culture, held annually in Nykobing Mors on the island of Mors. It is a three-day festical featuring debates, talks, and performances that bring together artists, politicians, business leaders, and the pubic to discuss current issues in the cultural sphere. The summit also includes a broad cultural festival with numerous art experiences in music, film, literature, and visual arts
During the three day summit ideas and practical solutions on sustainability, cultural, and development were shared
JEEP's participation highligted over four decades of community-based climate-saving practices in Uganda. Through videos, photos, and publications, international audiences were given a close look at the organization's diverse activities, which included
- Sustainable gardening and food security - shallow wells, water tanks, good seeds, and solar drying to preserve vegetables.
- Tree planting and seedling distribution - providing food, building materials, and sustainable source of fuel
- Waste-to-resource innovations - briquette production, handicrafts, and the famous bottle house
- Energy-saving technologies - showcasing different stove models designed for various users and purposes, powered by briquettes, firewood electricity, and biogas
- Training and empowerment - from technical training sessions to business management, showing how JEEP helps communities create both free and income generating solutions.
JEEP's presence at Cultural Meeting Mors also emphasized the value of Danish funding through DANIDA, distributed by CISU, in supporting initiatives that create independence and sustainability. The showcase made clear how such finding has linked with JEEP's projects over time, from the establishment of JEEP Folkecenter to today's focus on income-generating, climate-smart innovations
By being part of this international platform, JEEP not only shared Uganda's climate-saving practices but also demonstrated how local solutions can inspire global change, showing the way forward in building communities that are resilient, innovative, and self-sustaining
