UCU renewable Energy Solar training
Uganda Christian University Students Attend Renewable Energy Solar Training at JEEP premises
Students from Uganda Christian University visited the Joint Energy and Environment Projects (JEEP) for a hands-on Renewable Energy Solar Training Exercise. The visit aimed to enhance their understanding of sustainable energy solutions and expose them to practical applications of renewable technologies.
The day began with a guided tour around the JEEP Demonstration Center, where students explored various energy-saving technologies and environmental conservation innovations. They learned about efficient cookstoves, briquette production, waste management, and other clean energy systems developed by JEEP to promote sustainable living in communities
The highlight of the visit was the solar energy training session, where students were introduced to the principles of solar system design, installation and maintenance. Through interactive demonstrations, they gained valuable insight into how solar technologies can be harnessed to meet Uganda's growing energy needs while protecting the environment.
The engagement not only deepened their theoretical knowledge but also strengthened their practical skills and awareness of renewable energy opportunities. JEEP remains committed to empowering young people with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive Uganda toward a green and sustainable future
