Global Climate Change Alliance (GCCA) Project

Joint Energy and Environment Projects partnered with the  Food and Agriculture Organisation of United Nations (FAO) through Letter of Agreement number 035/2015 to support implementing partners in central cattle corridor to demonstrate and scale up climate change adaptation practices for environmental management under the Global Climate Change Alliance project (GCCA).

JEEP is to undertake the following activities:



On the 10th -12th /5/15,  SAREPTA Women’s group Bukoba Tanzania ( 4 female and 2 male) travelled to JEEP for  training in energy saving stoves, briquette making,  field visit to Wabutungulu solar hub  and a partnership meeting with JEEP. The Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy is a non-profit, independent, organization that provides research, development of technology, training and information for the manufacture, industrial innovation and implementation of renewable energy technologies and energy savings in Denmark and throughout the world. Folkecenter intends to achieve measurable increases in the utilization of renewable energy technologies and thereby significant reductions in environmental pollution associated with energy use in Denmark and elsewhere. - Visit Website

JEEP partnered with Energy Nord - a utility company from Denmark - to implement the Lighting Africa project. The project aims at improving livelihood of people especially those living in off grid areas through provision of clean light from solar energy thus substituting the dangerous kerosene lamps. The project aims at providing solar lanterns at a subsidized rate and creating awareness about solar energy. Beneficiaries are equipped with basic knowledge about the usability and maintenance of solar lamps. - Visit Projectpage
